- Who We Are
From August 21 to 26, the World Kettlebell Lifting Championship took place in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan, bringing together over 600 participants from 21 countries. Kazakhstani athletes distinguished themselves with remarkable performances.
“We sincerely thank Baiterek Holding for supporting our athletes. This backing enabled us to represent Kazakhstan with honor on the international stage. It inspires us not only to continue developing kettlebell sport in our country but also to strive for new victories,” said team coach Marat Moldybaev.
Notably, Baiterek Holding provided support to athletes from the Walikhanov district in the North Kazakhstan region, covering travel and accommodation expenses for their participation in the international competition.
In the championship results, Zhaksylyk Islyamov claimed first place in the "long cycle" event in the U18, 68 kg weight category. Meiram Bekejan earned a silver medal in the clean and jerk event in the U23, 73 kg category. Among the girls, Makhabbat Musaibekova took home bronze in the U16, 58 kg clean and jerk category. Veteran athlete Khalit Suleimenov (60-64 years) secured third place, trailing only athletes from Russia and England.
“We are immensely proud of and support our athletes defending Kazakhstan’s honor on the international stage. This time, we were delighted to support the regional team and celebrate their outstanding achievements. Although kettlebell lifting is not an Olympic sport, the success of our athletes demonstrates that sports development is happening not just in major cities but also in rural areas. These initiatives underscore the importance of supporting sports at all levels,” said Rustam Karagoishin, Chairman of the Board at Baiterek Holding. He also emphasized that Baiterek Holding will continue backing efforts aimed at addressing social issues and fostering a positive public image.
