Timur Onzhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of ‘Baiterek’ National Managing Holding, met with representatives of the Spanish company SEDECAL and Aktoberentgen JSC.
The meeting was attended by SEDECAL’s CEO and owner Manuel Martinez, the company’s Innovation Director Konstantin Sosenko, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aktoberentgen JSC Rakhimzhan Ismagambetov, Project Manager of Kazakh Invest JSC Anel Turasheva, as well as representatives of the Holding’s subsidiaries — Deputy Chairwoman of the Management Board of the Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan (ECA) Madina Erzhanova and Managing Director of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan (DBK) Asem Shakenova.
The main topic of discussion was the localization of production of X-ray and digital medical equipment, with potential involvement of financial instruments provided by Baiterek Holding’s subsidiaries — ECA and DBK.
“Initiatives aimed at localizing high-tech production and expanding industrial cooperation with international companies are of strategic interest to Kazakhstan. ‘Baiterek’ Holding views such projects as contributions to the development of an export-oriented economy and the strengthening of the country’s technological sovereignty,” noted Timur Onzhanov.
In turn, representatives of SEDECAL expressed interest in establishing a regional production hub in Kazakhstan, focused on exporting products to Central Asian countries and the CIS.
