In light of the summit of the New Global Financial Pact in Paris on June 22-23, French President Macron convened the 6th annual summit of the first leaders of the OPSWF network. This summit gathers heads of state and heads of financial companies to form a new global financial architecture that can fully benefit people and the planet. Baiterek Holding joined the OPSWF network this year as an observer.
The network consists of sovereign wealth funds, asset managers and private equity funds with which they cooperate. The 47 members of the OPSWF network, who collectively own assets worth more than 37 trillion US dollars, confirm that their goals - long-term growth, protection of wealth transmitted from generation to generation, and ensuring a sustainable future - are consistent with the goals of the Paris Agreement.
"To combat poverty, climate change, and the reduction of biodiversity, it is absolutely impossible to act only at the expense of state aid. We must create a collective dynamic involving the private sector, public funds, asset managers and all private financing that can be directed to these purposes," Emmanuel Macron said, speaking at the 6th OPSWF summit.
"The OPSWF platform is an important network for generating and exchanging effective measures to mitigate the negative effects of climate change. In addition, this platform allows you to expand partnership with major international financial market players," summed up the Director of the Strategy and Corporate Development Department of the Holding Yerzhanova Madina.
