Baiterek Holding held meetings with leading European institutions in Belgium.

On June 22, in Brussels, as part of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to the Kingdom of Belgium, Chairman of the Board of JSC National Investment Holding Baiterek, Rustam Karagoishin, participated in a number of business events. The holding's delegation included Deputy Chairman of the Board, Timur Onzhanov, and Chairman of the Board of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan, Marat Elibayev.

Rustam Karagoishin took part in the business conference "Strengthening Connectivity between the EU and Kazakhstan: Prospects and Strategic Potential of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route," organized with the support of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, and the Delegation of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the European Union. Participants discussed the strategic importance of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route for Eurasian connectivity, investment opportunities in transport and logistics, and the synergies of the Middle Corridor with the EU Global Gateway initiative.

During a meeting with Dirk Terwedowe, CEO of Credendo, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in export insurance, joint transaction structuring, coinsurance and reinsurance, as well as the exchange of experience and the development of tools to support exports and investment projects. Following the talks, the Export Credit Agency of Kazakhstan and Credendo signed a memorandum of cooperation. Credendo is the official export credit agency of the Kingdom of Belgium and is one of the leading export credit agencies in Europe.

An additional outcome of this cooperation was Credendo's decision to raise Kazakhstan's medium/long-term political risk rating from category 5 to category 4 on a seven-point scale. According to the agency, this was facilitated by the stable state of public finances, political stability, the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, the growth of foreign direct investment, and the expansion of regional trade integration. The rating improvement helps reduce the cost of external financing for Kazakhstani projects and increases their attractiveness to international investors.

At a meeting with Otto Reuss, Managing Director of BAUER Group, the parties discussed the company's plans to build a plant for the production of irrigation machines in the Turkestan region and the possibility of financial support through holding companies, including KazAgroFinance JSC.

Rustam Karagoishin also met with representatives of Dewulf Group and Väderstad AB, with the participation of AgromashHolding KZ JSC, Eurasia Group, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The discussion focused on the progress of agricultural machinery localization projects at AgromashHolding's production sites in Kostanay and Turkestan.
