For more than 10 years, Kazakhstan has been building a competitive industry by implementing the State Program for Industrial and Innovative Development. The program has made it possible to open important production facilities that manufacture popular products and establish companies that pay taxes and create jobs.
Baiterek Holding implements the SPIID program through its subsidiary – the Development Bank of Kazakhstan. The bank finances the creation and development of infrastructure facilities (energy, transport, and telecommunications) and manufacturing industries (metallurgy, chemistry, petrochemistry, pharmaceuticals, mechanical engineering, and others).
For instance, the total amount of money raised under the second five-year industrial program amounted to 581 billion tenge, which was used to finance SPIID projects. Out of 29 projects approved for financing, 27 were financed. 23 projects are in the operational phase of implementation. In our infographic, we'll show you the socio-economic impact of these 23 supported businesses.
