Kanat Sharlapayev, Chairman of the Board of Baiterek Holding, reported to the President on the results of the Holding's work for the first half of 2022. He focused on the housing construction rates and the support provided to businesses and the agro-industrial complex.
According to the report, large businesses were financed with 143 billion tenge; small and medium-sized enterprises were funded with 510 billion tenge; and agribusinesses received 241.3 billion tenge worth of loans. The Holding has also funded private real estate developers helping them commission 759 thousand square meters of housing. 56 thousand square meters were built through the redemption of bonds of local executive bodies. It enabled 39 thousand families, including 7.2 thousand people on the waiting list, to get preferential mortgages and purchase apartments.
Baiterek Holding has also begun accepting applications for the preferential machinery leasing program. The machinery is purchased at the expense of Zhasyl-Damu JSC. In addition, the Holding has started subsidizing the rent of residential real estate.
According to Kanat Sharlapayev, 2 million sq. meters of real estate (29.6 thousand apartments) will be commissioned in 2022. It will help improve the living conditions of 250,000 people.
Following the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev gave an order to improve the conditions for business development and amend the social housing policy.
